Weddings are uniquely special events, made possible by a diverse team of passionate people all working with a common aim. We enjoy welcoming all those who come to work at Homme, and love meeting brilliant new wedding professionals with a special contribution to make to a wedding day.
We have now been hosting weddings for over 20 years, and as we start the next chapter of life at Homme are dedicating much of our time and effort to how we can make Homme a more sustainable venue, and the weddings which take place here as sustainable as they are beautiful.

WHAT KIND OF A VENUE IS HOMME HOUSE?
Homme is very much a family home, still lived in, loved and looked after by the family who own it. Our ethos and approach is that of a non-commercial venue; we host a limited number of weddings each year with our home offered for an extended hire period on an exclusive use basis only. Charlie & Sarah, son and daughter-in-law of owner Jocelyn, manage all of the weddings, including the wedding day hosting and coordination.
WHAT ARE YOUR SUSTAINABILITY CREDENTIALS?
We are early in our sustainability journey but committed to finding ways to make Homme a more sustainable venue, and to making the gatherings we host as sustainable as possible. More on our ethos, approach and sustainability policy can be viewed here.
We are learning all the time and really keen to meet and work with like-minded people who share our ethos and values.
DO YOU HAVE PREFERRED SUPPLIERS?
For our sustainability focused midweek weddings we have designated suppliers for food and floristry.
For both midweek weddings and weekend weddings we have a designated supplier for a pay bar.
Otherwise we give our couples complete freedom to choose the team of their dreams for their perfect wedding day.
CAN I BE ADDED TO YOUR RECOMMENDED SUPPLIER DIRECTORY?
We are always delighted to recommend brilliant wedding professionals to our couples – particularly those who are local to us and have sustainable practices at the heart of their businesses.
We regularly add new suppliers to our recommended supplier directory – those we have excellent experiences with directly, or indirectly via recommendations from happy Homme couples.
We hope you will understand that we can’t recommend suppliers we have no Homme-related experience with.
IS HOMME EASY TO FIND?
Yes, if you use google maps rather than any other mapping software. Just pop in ‘Homme House’ and it will route you to our St. Bartholomew’s Church entrance, down the parkland drive and up to the front of the Main House.
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT WORKING AT HOMME?
We make Homme available the day before each wedding we host (from 9:30am for weekend weddings, from 3pm for midweek weddings) so that preparations can be relaxed and there is plenty of time for any supplier deliveries or set up.
Likewise our hire period is until 12:30pm on the day after the wedding to allow a leisurely morning and plenty of time for any breakdowns and collections.
We ask that all suppliers are responsible for their own waste (unless a special arrangement has been made for the couple to be responsible for it).
