If you would like to escape the stresses of a strange and difficult year we would be delighted to welcome you to Homme for a relaxing break.
With open fires, cosy and comfortable surroundings, 200 acres of grounds to explore, and plenty of space in which to relax and enjoy spending time together, Homme is the perfect place for a winter getaway in beautiful rural countryside seclusion.
Staying at Homme
We can offer comfortable self-catering accommodation in either the Main House or our adjacent 18th century Coach House.
Sadly none of us can fully escape COVID-19, and all self-catering stays are therefore subject to the current ‘Rule of Six’. We have had COVID protocols in place since reopening our holiday accommodation in early July.
The Main House
An Elegant Escape
While extensive and spacious the main house retains the cosy, homely feel of a family home. For the winter period the reception rooms of the ground floor have been reconfigured and refurnished with their original antique furniture to provide a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast & drawing room, dining room and library in which to make yourselves at home and relax. Whether you want to enjoy a waitered, fine dining experience, cook and eat together, read and play games or get warm by the roaring fire after a muddy walk, there is plenty of space in which to do it.
On the two floors above there are 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms to choose from, as well as a separate kitchen for midnight snacking, breakfast in bed or an early morning brew.
From early December the house will also be decorated for the festive season, with a huge Christmas tree at the heart of the Hall rising up the beautiful flying staircase.
The Coach House
Characterful, Cosy Accommodation
Our 18th century Coach House is full of character, from its exposed beams to the leaded windows throughout. Perfectly appointed as a self-catering holiday let, it has a fully equipped farmhouse style kitchen, adjacent drawing/dining room, snug with wall mounted TV and 4 double ensuite bedrooms.

Check in is any time from 3pm on the day of arrival, with check out by 10am on the day of departure. Details of our COVID measures to minimise the risks to visitors are available here.

Local Treats
We are blessed to be based in a rural area rich with local produce and beauty to explore. If you would like to arrive, relax and be looked after without needing to cook or venture out we can organise a range of catering options to take any stress out of a stay. Follow a walk in the parkland or Summerhouse drinks in front of the fire with an informal ‘heat and eat’ first evening supper (2 courses from £20 per person) or a fully waitered fine dining experience (3 courses from £55 per person) in peace and privacy, both provided by the wonderful local A2Zest team. Menus are available on request.
